Initial CPC training

OUR COURSE: full training and lorry use plus demonstration of how to check a lorry and for illegal substances, plus demonstration of how to check a lorry and for illegal substances and practice using ratchet straps and dolly knots

You are advised to have read the DVSA publication Driers CPC manual & Driving goods/passenger vehicle

New drivers who passed the test after 2009 / 2008 have to take the initial cpc tests

5 Day CPC course or 2 DAY INITIAL CPC course

Drivers who have grandfather rights

may now do Module 2 & 4 exams

which consists of 2 tests to be carried out by an examiner from the DVSA

instead of sitting the 35 hours of periodic training as long as they passed the car test prior to 1997 Please be aware that should you fail the test it could cost an additional fees to re-sit the test.

The time frame to do CPC in this way can be 7 weeks to get the CPC card through from applying for the Module 2 test

Please check that you are allowed to do the periodic 35 hours of training you are allowed to take this course if any of the following questions you can answer Yes to either question

1. Passed your Car test before 1997 = Yes you are allowed to do this course 2. Passed your HGV test before September 2009 or Bus test before September 2008 = Yes you are allowed to do this course 3. Already got a DQC Cpc card = Yes you are allowed to do this course Answer No to both questions means you have to take an Initial CPC test and this also means you are not legal to drive a hgv or pcv at this moment in time even if you have a licence. Call us immediately for further information.

HGV Drivers who wish to drive a bus or minibus must have completed all five modules before september 2014.

Failing to complete the driver cpc course will result in not being legal to continue working as a pcv driver.
